Radio & Communications

  • Multi-channel radio has been added back with full Push-to-Talk (PTT) infrastructure.
  • iOS Live Activities are now supported, allowing users to view radio status and switch channels directly from the lock screen.
  • IP Radio is functioning as expected using the intercom “radio” cable for PTT, eliminating the need for a phone or Bluetooth connection in hardware-enabled vehicles.
  • PTT currently supports one-way transmission only. Testing with the GoPro audio output on the Molex connector retransmits incoming audio and creates an echo for other channel members.
  • Latching PTT functionality is being explored but may require modifications to the intercom hardware.

Maps & Navigation

  • Map cleanup improvements are underway:
    • Trail POIs now dynamically respond to zoom level. At wider zoom levels they appear as simple dots, and at closer zoom levels they become interactive markers.
  • New settings options allow users to hide or disable specific map markers for a cleaner map experience.
  • Routes now persist after closing the app. Added trails and waypoints will remain on the map until they are manually removed.
  • New 3D map functionality has been added across Satellite, Terrain, and Standard Map modes.

Route Builder & Waypoints

  • Waypoint photos are now supported. When creating routes in the web Route Builder, photos can be attached to waypoints and caution markers.
  • Photos can be viewed in both the web and mobile applications by selecting the waypoint.
  • This feature is especially useful for caution markers and trail hazards, allowing users to visually identify obstacles or important trail information.
  • Leaderboard action waypoints, caution zones, speed zones, and virtual checkpoints have all been completed.

Video Streaming & Hardware

  • The hardware and video streaming platform has been revisited and significantly improved.
  • Video streaming from the iOS profile section is currently providing content to the backend video distribution platform.
  • The new hardware configuration supports:
    • Ethernet video input for IP cameras.
    • A dedicated M.2 slot for HDMI video input.
  • Initial testing of Ethernet video ingestion has been completed successfully.
